USG Basket - Men's 2nd div. team This page will be updated with info about the men's 2nd division tournament team, that being game reports, photos, upcoming games etc.

The USG Men's team consist of a large roster with great variation both in age and nationality. Most of the players have played on a high level in the national leagues or youth leagues, and after some years with a lot of players coming and going, the team core is now the same as last season - but still with some excellent new additions. We always play to win and after a decent debut-season in the 2

nd division last year, the ambition is now to finish in top 4 to reach the playoffs. We will do our best to update this page regularly so that you can follow what is going on on the team. There will be game reports posted, should you have missed an away game or two. Photos from the games will be posted when they exist - so we strongly encourage you to bring your camera to our games and let us know if you want your pics on this page. Who knows, there might even be a (symbolically) small reward in it for you.

MOST IMPORTANT GAME THIS SEASON (so far)

Friday 18.30 we are playing DTU at the USG Dome.

Not only is this a great university team rivalry, it is also our last chance to secure a spot in the playoffs.

It's a must win. Simple as that!

We would love your support so come watch and bring your friends, beer, etc. etc. You know the drill! (Y)

Big game tomorrow @ The USG Dome!

We play last year's winners and current top team in the 2nd division at home tomorrow and we would love to hand them their first loss of the season 👊

We need all of our beloved supporters to help us do this, so if you would be so kind as to cancel all your plans and come cheer for us instead, that would be great :)

HUGE CUP GAME ON FRIDAY - USG vs. SISU (Basketligaen)

After a couple of years' absence, we're back in Landspokalturneringen and it's safe to say that it won't be an easy start.

On friday, in the USG Dome, we play SISU Basketball from the highest national leage in the 1/16 finals of the cup.

Last time we participated in the cup we did a great job and turned some heads by knocking out two 1st division teams, but going up against a proffessional basketball team like SISU will be quite another, and much tougher, challenge.

SO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

GAME FRIDAY

Second game of the season is another home game. This friday we host BK Amager 2 - a new team that we haven't played before.

After the amazing comeback win last friday we hope to follow up on the great play in the second half and go 2-0.

Your support is greatly appreciated so we hope to see many of you at courtside.

PLAYOFF GAME THIS WEDNESDAY

We made it into the playoffs as the 8th seed so we are battling the top team Falcon for advancement to the semi-finals.

It is a best-of-three series and we are down 1-0 so far.

Wednesday 17.45 we have game 2 at home and we would really love to have some support in the rafters of the USG Dome :)

First game was neck-to-neck for the first 25 minutes after which we started struggling offensively and the experienced Falcon guys took advantage and ended up with a big win.
We hope to be more consistent this time and force the series to a third game.

We hope you will help us do so!
If we lose this game we are out, so it could be last chance to see the 1st team play this season.

Beloved fans!

We apologize for the lack of activity on the page lately but we've been very busy trying to get into shape to win more basketball games.

This Friday we are playing the final game of the regular season at home before we start the playoffs.

The game is against Broernes BK and tip-off is 18.30 and it is of course at the USG Dome.

We hope to see a lot of you wonderful people there!

First home game was a blowout win. Hvidovre showed up with only 5 guys and especially our much bigger inside players were too much of a mouthful for them.

USG wins 112 - 36

Thanks to everyone who showed up to support us! We hope the next one will be a bit more exciting to watch :-)

Next home game is not until Friday November 13th where we welcome Falcon to the Dome.

FIRST HOME GAME OF THE SEASON

Summer is over!

New season, new coach, new players, same uniforms, same USG Dome

We take on Hvidovre on friday at 18.30 in the Dome.

Hvidovre moved up after winning 3rd division last season and we are hoping to give them a not-so-warm welcome to 2nd division.

So bring food, beer, friends, whatever you need and help us send them packing!
