KAATSU focuses on health and strength and increases/benefits both muscle mass, circulation and fat burning.

KAATSU-træning stammer fra Japan og ordet ”Kaatsu” er sammensat af to ord ”Ka” og ”Atsu” der på japansk betyder ”tilføjet tryk”. Sammenhængen mellem KAATSU også kaldet ”Blood Flow Restriction” og de mange positive effekter blev opdaget i 1966 af Professor Yoshiaki Sato. Professor Yoshiaki Sato udviklede siden op gennem 70’erne og helt frem til 00’erne gennem talrige forsøg de mest effektive p

rotokoller og udstyr til brug for KAATSU-træning. Metoden har efterfølgende – og er det stadig i dag – genstand for alsidig forskning både i Vesten og i Asien og der er i dag publiceret hundredevis af peer reviewed evidensbaseret studier i videnskabelige tidsskrifter verden over der alle dokumenterer KAATSU-træningens positive virkning for krop

I 2015 etableredes et samarbejde mellem KAATSU DANMARK og Kaatsu International University (KIU) hvor Professor Yoshiaki Sato fungerer som rektor og dermed blev de originale kaatsuprotokoller samt udstyr for første gang tilgængelige i Danmark. KAATSU træning har i dag holdt sit indtog blandt professionelle elite atleter og fitness entusiaster verden over. Hvorfor? – fordi de har fundet ud af, at KAATSU forbedrer deres præstationsniveauer, de undgår skader, og opnår langt hurtigere deres fitness mål sammenlignet med traditionelle træningsformer.

KAATSU FITNESS har et tæt samarbejde med KAATSU Danmark og alle KAATSU-instruktører i Kaatsu Fitness er Kaatsu Danmark-certificeret. Alle træninger og alt udstyr tager udgangspunkt i Yoshiaki Sato´originale protokoller og der anvendes kun originalt kaatsu-udstyr i centrene.
