I head deep into the woods to build a comfortable tarp shelter with a hammock underquilt setup and enjoy a peaceful overnight camp.

I Built a Flying A Shelter & Tested the EASIEST Bow Drill for Beginners!

This time I head deep into the woods for a relaxing solo bushcraft overnight. My goal is to build a lightweight Flying A shelter with a hammock as my bed before putting two different bow drill sets to the test. With a 3-day bushcraft event coming up, I wanted to find out which friction fire set is the most beginner-friendly and easiest to learn.

After building camp, I compare both bow drill combinations, share what makes one easier than the other, cook a delicious dinner and settle in for a peaceful night surrounded by nature.

I Built a HUGE Tarp Shelter With NO Trees… Then a Storm Hit!

Deep in the forest, I set myself a challenge: build a HUGE lean-to tarp shelter without tying it to a single tree.

Using only simple bushcraft techniques and natural materials, I constructed a sturdy shelter from scratch. Afterward, I repaired my damaged splitting axe head with basic tools, cooked a delicious dinner on my bushcraft oven, and settled in for the night.

Then the weather changed.

Heavy rain and strong winds rolled in, putting the shelter to the ultimate test. Despite the stormy conditions, the lean-to held up perfectly and kept me completely dry.

The next morning, I packed up my camp and left the forest exactly as I found it—leaving no trace behind.

I Escaped the Heat and Slept Over a Mountain Stream

Looking for the coolest place to camp on a hot summer day? Join me as I head deep into the forest in search of a hidden, jungle-like stream where the flowing water and dense canopy create the perfect natural escape from the heat.

Before reaching camp, I take a look at one of the most common navigation mistakes people make outdoors and explain how to avoid it. Once I find the perfect spot, I suspend my hammock directly above the stream before exploring upstream to discover beautiful pools, moss-covered rocks, and peaceful corners of the forest.

As evening falls, I prepare a simple summer meal, relax to the sound of the flowing water, and spend the night with the stream providing the perfect natural lullaby. The next morning, I pack up, leave no trace, and hike back through the forest.

I Built a 1,5 Room Tarp Shelter in the Woods - Axe Test, Leather Sheath & Overnight Camp

For this trip, I brought along an axe that I had previously restored from an old axe head and put it to work around camp. To complete the setup, I crafted a custom leather sheath for it right in the forest using simple hand tools and traditional techniques.

With camp established, I cooked a simple but satisfying meal over the fire and settled in to test the shelter through the night.

This trip was about slowing down, building with my hands, and reconnecting with the basics: shelter, tools, fire, and food.

Thunderstorms All Night Under a Tarp Shelter - Bushcraft Camp & Genius Multi Person Stove

A peaceful bushcraft camping adventure turns into an unforgettable thunderstorm camp deep in the forest.

In this trip, I head into the woods during rainy weather and set up a large plow point shelter using a 3 x 4.5 m tarp. Just after finishing camp, a powerful thunderstorm rolls in, allowing me to enjoy the incredible sights and sounds of nature from the comfort of my shelter.

Once the storm passes, I venture into the forest to find the perfect piece of wood for a very special camp stove design. This unique stove can also be transformed into a multi-person cooking station, making it ideal for group camps and outdoor gatherings.

As evening arrives, I prepare a delicious dinner, relax beside my shelter, and listen as another thunderstorm sweeps through the forest during the night. The next morning begins with birdsong, fresh air, and the satisfaction of leaving no trace before heading home fully recharged.

I Built a Shelter Nobody Has Ever Seen Before... Then Carved a Wolf in the Wild

I headed deep into the woods for a bushcraft overnight with two goals: build a truly unique tarp shelter and attempt something I've never carved before—a wolf requested by one of you in the comments.

After setting up camp and creating an unusual shelter design, I settled in for a relaxing evening of carving, cooking a delicious wilderness dinner and enjoying a peaceful night surrounded by nature.
