Every speaker needs a clicker. The Spotlight Presenter 2 is awesome. I lost my Spotlight Presenter 1 so had to buy a new one. Glad I did. Speakery approved. Not sponsored.

A presentation practice technique from th Speakery archives. It‘s really helpful if, like me, you have ADHD.

Only seven days to the Summit! It's incredibly exciting.

A couple of weeks ago, I sat down with Emma Nelson to discuss SPEAKERY, my health scare (I'm a heartburn survivor), and the Speakery Summit for Monocle Radio's excellent Entrepreneurs format.

It's episode 666!

You can listen to the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/dEvH42AW and the section with Emma and me here: https://lnkd.in/d5KCUM2p

Many thanks to Tom Edwards, Emma, and Laura Kramer for their support.

We hope you enjoy the episode.

Is it me, or have conferences become frustrating? They always seem to focus too much on inspiration and not enough on getting s**t done.

There's an overload of "why," a scarcity of "how," and too many sponsors pushing their "what."

That's why I created the SpeakerySummit.com, with a razor-sharp focus on delivering real business impact for delegates. The Summit is designed to counter massive, impersonal, sponsor-driven events.

Intimate and exclusive, I've designed the Summit to be tailored towards educating top talent and not pander to the whims of TikTok-touting junior account managers.

Every masterclass, speaker, and program point is crafted to ensure delegates leave equipped with a mindset and a how-to toolkit for impeccable presentation skills that lead to tangible business results.

Everything presented at the Summit will be thoroughly unpacked, so each delegate knows how to apply it in their pitches, presentations, or press interviews.

That's how the Summit will work.

It's how its success will be measured.

It's a how-to event, and putting it together is an absolute career highlight for me.

I'm a big fan of Steve Heng. His curiosity is infectious. He wants to know how things work and see what happens when he brings people together.

I've known him for a while now. I've watched him present, stream, DJ, and curate the START INTO MEDIA stage at the Medientage München. He's always a joy to watch because you feel that something surprising could happen—and it often does.

I'm delighted that Steve has agreed to participate in the SPEAKERY Masterclass and share his tales of curiosity with the audience at Wayra Germany's Innovation Hub on March 21st.

Tickets are running out fast, so grab one quick to see what Steve has to say about curiosity.

See you next week!

A place to work, a place to play, a place to practise, make mistakes, and shine—that was my vision for the Speakery studio.

I envisaged it teeming with life, a stage for rehearsals, a canvas for groundbreaking presentation ideas.

That was what I wanted the studio to be.

I signed the lease right in the middle of a global pandemic.

It was hard to imagine that I would get anywhere close to my vision of the place. But as I stood alone in the empty space, I could see people standing on a stage practising, and I could see them standing at the whiteboard, pen in hand, writing presentations that would change the world.

I had to take the chance. I had no option but to grab at the chance, take the risk and sign the lease.

Fast forward two and a half years and the dream has not only taken root but flourished. The pandemic is over. Incredible people have stood on the stage, and world-changing presentations have indeed taken shape on the whiteboard. The studio is a source of immense joy. It's hard to describe how happy and grateful I am for it.

I love what the studio has become.
