Mit dem heutigem Tage endet offiziell meine Funktion als Spartenleiter und Trainier in unserer RCF Sparte im Verein Kieler Turnerschaft von 1883 e.V. (www.kt83.de)
Ebenso beende ich meinen Trainer-Status in meiner Gruppe "District24 - Legio Holsatia", den ich in letzter Zeit aufgrund persönlicher und beruflicher Gründe nicht so wahrnehmen konnte wie es die Gruppe als auch die Sparte verdient hätten.
Vor 7,5 Jahren habe ich die Sparte gegründet, aufgebaut und auch als Trainier mit vielen helfenden Händen über Jahre hinweg betreut.
Doch alles hat irgendwann ein Ende....
Mit Stolz kann ich behaupten, dass wir viele gute Zeiten und ne Menge geile Trainings hatten. Viele unserer Teilnehmer sind durch diese Sparte erst ins Hobby gekommen, haben riesige Fortschritte gemacht und manche Teilnehmer die bei 0 anfingen, gehören mittlerweile zu den besten Kämpfern die Schleswig-Holstein zu bieten hat. Aber es war auch nicht immer leicht. Leute kamen, Leute gingen, Sportstätten wurden gewechselt, Ärger mit Ämtern und Behörden gehabt aber am Ende war immer alles gut.
Auch in den schweren Zeiten der Corona-Epidemie, Lockdowns und Kontaktsportverboten hielten wir zusammen und hielten Trainings ab. Irgendwie und irgendwo ging immer was. Ob mit Abstandsregeln, Hygienekonzepten und Sondergenehmigungen (unsere Sparte war in SH eine von ganz wenigen die so eine damals für Kontaktsport, wo alles generell verboten war, bekamen), gingen wir unseren Weg und waren nie faul. Wo ein Wille ist, da findet sich auch ein Weg....
Die Entscheidung fiel mir persönlich nicht leicht und wurde auch schon seit längerer Zeit auf die lange Bank geschoben. Nun mache ich es offiziell und beende hiermit meine "Trainierkarriere" die seit ca. 2010 besteht und in verschiedenen Gruppen/Vereinen im Bereich Schaukampf, Langschwertfechten, RCF etc. absolviert wurde.
Diese Entscheidung, wie man jetzt vielleicht denken könnte, hat nichts mit der Sparte, den Teilnehmern oder der Gruppe Legio Holsatia zu tun. Es ist eher eine persönliche Entscheidung die teilweise mit einer, für mich negativen Veränderung der RCF Szene zu tun hat in Kombination mit meinem beruflichen Umfeld als Ausbilder. Wer sich tagtäglich beruflich und ausbildungstechnisch mit realer Gewalt, Krieg und bewaffneten Konflikten beschäftigt, dem fehlt am Ende dann auch irgendwann das Mindset um auch noch im Hobby-Bereich Menschen, auch wenn alles nur "gespielt" ist, an Waffen bzw. Waffensimulatoren auszubilden. Zu mindestens bei mir ist es so. Ich war schon seit längerer Zeit nicht mehr wirklich motiviert oder im Kopf bei der Sache wenn es um die Funktion des Trainers ging. Und wie ein alter Mentor, kurz bevor ich seinen Posten übernahm einst zu mir sagte: "Alles was ich lehren wollte und konnte, habe ich gelehrt...."
Und heute greife ich dieses Zitat für mich auf und lege mein Amt nieder.
Zukünftig wird Karl Auer aka Kalle den Posten als offizieller neuer Spartenleiter der Kieler Trainingsgruppe im KT83 übernehmen und mit helfenden Händen der Mitglieder von Legio Holsatia das Training gestalten, leiten und durchführen. Ich selber bleibe der Gruppe natürlich als Anführer erhalten, werde das Schwert noch nicht an den Nagel hängen und auch weiterhin mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stehen.
Ich bedanke mich für viele gute Jahre in dieser Sparte, euer Vertrauen in mich als Trainer/Spartenleiter und Motivation über auch hinaus zu wachsen. Und wie man so schön sagt: "Man "trifft" sich...." entweder bei nem Bierchen in irgendeinem Lager, auf dem Schlachtfeld oder sonst wo. Der Kämpfer ist in mir drinnen, ich bin nicht aus der Welt und neue Projekte warten darauf umgesetzt zu werden.
Am Ende möchte ich noch ein Zitat da lassen an alle die mit dem Training anfangen, dabei sind oder daran denken aufzuhören:

As of today, my role as division manager and trainer in our RCF division within the Kieler Turnerschaft von 1883 e.V. (www.kt83.de) officially ends.
I am also ending my coaching status in my group District24 - "Legio Holsatia" which I have not been able to fulfill recently due to personal and professional reasons, as both the group and the division deserve.
Seven and a half years ago, I founded the division, built it up, and also supervised it as a trainer with many helping hands for years.
But everything comes to an end eventually...
I can proudly say that we had many good times and a lot of great training sessions. Many of our participants first entered the hobby through this division, have made tremendous progress, and some participants who started from scratch are now among the best fighters Schleswig-Holstein has to offer. But it hasn't always been easy. People came, people went, sports venues were changed, there was trouble with offices and authorities, but in the end everything was always fine.
Even during the difficult times of the coronavirus epidemic, lockdowns, and bans on contact sports, we stuck together and held training sessions. Somehow, somewhere, something always worked. Whether with social distancing rules, hygiene concepts, or special permits (our division was one of very few in Schleswig-Holstein to receive such a permit for contact sports at the time, when everything was generally prohibited), we went our own way and were never lazy. Where there's a will, there's a way...
The decision wasn't easy for me personally and had been put off for quite some time. Now I'm making it official and hereby end my "training career," which began around 2010 and has been completed in various groups/clubs in the areas of show fighting, longsword fencing, RCF, etc.
This decision, as you might think, has nothing to do with the division, the participants, or the Legio Holsatia group. It's more of a personal decision, partly related to a negative change in the RCF scene, combined with my professional environment as an instructor. Anyone who deals with real violence, war, and armed conflict on a daily basis, both professionally and in training, ultimately lacks the mindset to train people on weapons or weapon simulators as a hobby, even if it's all just "play." At least, that's the case for me. I haven't been truly motivated or focused on the task at hand when it comes to the role of trainer for quite some time. And as an old mentor once said to me shortly before I took over his position: "Everything I wanted and could teach, I have taught..."
And today, I take up this quote for myself and resign from my position.
In the future, Karl Auer, aka Kalle, will take over the position as the official new division head of the Kiel training group in KT83 and, with the help of the members of Legio Holsatia, will design, lead, and conduct training. I myself will, of course, remain the group's leader, won't hang up my sword just yet, and will continue to offer advice and support.
I thank you for many good years in this division, your trust in me as a trainer/division head, and your motivation to grow beyond. And as the saying goes: "We meet..." either over a beer at some camp, on the battlefield, or somewhere else. The fighter is within me, I'm not out of this world, and new projects are waiting to be implemented.
