Hello everyone,
Happy New Year, you guys! Most of you were already following my old page, but you may also know that I moved to Germany last year. I thought it was time for a revamp, so here I am with a brand new page.
In 2012, as a 15-year-old, I started a hobby class at home for one student, which later ended up being a class of 40+ students across Mira Bhayander, Thane. As a teacher, I grew up with my students, some of who started learning from me when they were 3, and some who trained under me for the last ten years - growing into their own person, exuding grace under pressure, and charming the audience with their alluring stage presence. Together, we went to competitions, and we won. We organized 3 Live Bharatanatyam Dance Recitals - a professional milestone that not every student can boast of these days. Now that I look back, I feel how flawlessly we all fit together and what a pleasant time it was - to be in class and to vibe together, talk to each other, and dance till we drop.
I'm in Germany, miles away from my teacher and students, and my creative aspiration has taken a different turn. I'm looking inward and reflecting on my art and what it means to me. For most of last year, I focused on my artistry, choreographed for myself, and danced for my furniture from time to time. But this year, there's an ocean of opportunities I see for myself - so this page will be about my dance journey, throwbacks from the past years, and maybe updates about the Carnatic music wing of Narthaki Nrithyalaya that's led by Godwin, my brother.
