The last match of the 2024 season is here!

On sunday Irie Utd will take the field for the 30th time this season, but it might not be the last time.
After several losses, Irie Utd found themselves in 15th position, which means direct relegation. However Irie pulled up their socks, got the wins they needed and have moved up to 14th place, and with a win over Boca Vision they would end the season in 12th place, avoiding relegation completely.

But their last task is not easy. Boca Vision have proven to be a very tricky opponent, taking points of teams high on the log, and with a win on sunday they would finish their season in 6th place.

Here's the summary:
With a win, Irie Utd will be safe, Predators FC & MCFC will go into playoffs.
With a draw or loss, Irie Utd will stay 14th place, and will go into playoffs.

The Super Save Cup is back!

After last years success, we will host the second edition of our 1-day Super Save Cup!

As we celebrate Heritage Day on the 24th of September 2024, our APL and Division 1 teams will come together at the Mountain Rise Astro to battle for the Prize of an estimated R7000, consisting out of a kit and cash!

As usual, a sports photographer will be present and take high quality action photos. Photos go for R20 each, so don't forget to bring some extra cash to secure those digital memories!

*Entry is reserved to Teams already participating in the Astro Premier League and Division 1.
Tournament Fee: R600 per Team

In yesterday's top match we took a closer look at Area 51's Nickkyle and Boca Seniors' Njabulo, also known as 'Messi'

This top match was full of excitement and entertainment up until the very last minute of the game and if you weren't there, you really missed a spectactle!

Nickkyle has played every moment of the game and with 50 minutes of playing time he was the engine of the team, connecting play with 60 passes and a pass accuracy of 87%. He attempted 25 dribblings, and could successfuly complete 72% of those. Almost double the amount of his opponent Messi, who only attempted 13 times to dribble and only succeeded in less than half of his attempts, as he was consequently closed down by Area 51's defense, that is, up until the last minute of the game where one of his 7 shots found the back of the net to secure Boca Seniors' victory.

In this encounter Nickkyle has had a brilliant performance and even though his team fell short in the end, Nickkyle has been awarded the 'Man of the Match' Award!
