The Black Forest Marathon is a legend as the world's oldest nature and women's marathon and is known far beyond the borders of Europe.
In 1968, the Black Forest Marathon was launched by SV Donaueschingen and TuS Bräunlingen. Since then, the races have always taken place on the second weekend in October.
