I have been so excited about Summer Camp that it hasn't set in that I am saying goodbye to this season and so many children this month.....until I received this lovely gift from Baby Shark Nursery School ❤️

The cover picture is one thing, capturing the fun we have in the classes (and my odd socks!) then the kind words inside followed by my favorite bit. Each child drew me a picture on a heart shaped piece of card, which I was told is symbolic of the children giving me their heart because they love me 🥹 🫶🏾

Meet Kyriacos❤️💙

Kyriacos has been a part of the Multi Sports Universe for over 3 years. Kyriacos joined us in our first year and he is still going strong to this day in the group developing his personal confidence, his social skills and physical skills.

Back on the 6th June Kyriacos couldn't attend his usual class, his mum told me that he couldn't come because he was taking part in a football tournament in Protaras! I was so excited to hear this, I find out he was awarded a medal and I saw pictures where he was so happily playing with his team.

This is exactly what MSU is about, we want to build these children to be confident to be coached, to train and play sports with new friends.

The following Saturday Kyriacos returns to our class and we held a presentation for him at the end of the class so that he could inspire the other members of the group to do the same whilst, most importantly, celebrating Kyriacos and his wonderful achievement ⭐

📖 Sunday Morning Storyime 📖

This past Wednesday our Sports Training Academy were playing Volleyball. Throughout the class the children practised their skills in pairs and then we played a game of Volleyball between the whole group.

At one point during the match one of our players became frustrated, Elsa wanted to perform a move but couldn't quite get it right. I, myself (Coach Dan) started to step towards Elsa to help as I always do but I was intercepted, before I could get to Elsa, her team mate Maya came over to rehearse the skill with her and shown Elsa how to do it.

Elsas confidence grew from that moment and she performed the skill very very well and turned to Maya and thanked her. It was such a natural moment between two team mates, showing understanding, patience, respect and care between these two young children.

For me, there is a second layer to this story I'd like to share. You see, Maya, has been a part of MSU for 2 years. Maya is a very popular member of the group and can often be found making someone (including me) laugh. Maya always tries hard and always does her best but sometimes Maya can let her emotions get the better of her, she will become frustrated with herself if she does not perform the way she hopes to. We have worked on this quite often in our classes over the years and this week to see MAYA step up to help Elsa avoid a very similar frustration brings a tear to my eye as I'm typing this to tell you.

For the rest of the session I reffered to Maya as Coach Maya and I think it will remain Coach Maya for the rest if the season:) It was such a beautiful moment for many reasons and I am really glad to have taken a picture too - eagle eyes may spot Mayas father in the background watching on with a smile 😀

Our Summer Camp has a new Summer Home 💙❤️

With just over 1 week to go before our Summer Camp begins, things are getting very exciting!

We may not have many spaces left but right now your child can join our well trusted summer camp that is returning for our third year!

⭐ We are also super excited to announce that our Summer Camp has a new home- we will be at the amazing Ithaki Amusement Park ⭐

We have a specialised and unique summer programme for your children; from digital illustration, painting, award winning multi sports, wood carving, skateboarding and SO much more!

Wow! Thanks to a Facebook memory today I was gifted the opportunity to reflect.

As The Multi Sports Universe continues to grow I find myself so busy in the present that I do not consider the journey we have been on but this first photograph was taken 2 years ago, we had just began a new programme aimed at children aged 7-10 years of age, our Sports Training Academy.

I started the class not really knowing if there would be interest in this age group for a sports class but after receiving a gentle nudge from a couple of parents, we gave it a try! Since this time we have grown in concept and numbers - 2 busy classes, 30+ families, 5 Sports Inspiration Guests, 3 Match Day Experiences and 1 Presentation Evening with another Presentation Evening coming later this month.

I've been so occupied moving forward that I forgot to look back and now I have tonight I am filled with gratitude and pride about the Sports Training Academy programme and we are not done yet, I still have plenty of ideas and plans for this group in the future ⭐

Today, after many delays due to this years crazy weather we have finally been able to hold our first Match Day Experience of the season!

Not every child from our Sports Training Academy could make it today but thankfully many of them could. We played football and we had alot of fun:)

All the football matches were played in a wonderful sporting spirit, there was tremendous teamwork. Each one of these sporty heroes left with a big smile, a sweaty tshirt and lots of stories for their grown ups on the way home ⭐

⭐ Competition Time ⭐

Back by popular demand, we have a Spot The Ball competition for you all! All you have to do is comment the square that you think the ball is in and you could win a FREE MONTH of MSU classes for your child or for a friend ⭐

You get one guess each and we will draw a winner from all of the people with the correct answer on Saturday. We will reveal the correct location of the ball on Saturday also 🙂

Elections may be over now but this week our Multi Sports Universe grown up are voting.

In the name of fun they are voting for which sports classes their children will take part in through June to finish off this amazing season.

When I was making the list it made me wonder, how many of these sports have you played ? Could it be that our Sporty Heroes aged from 2 to 6 years of age have a more varied experience of sports than their grown ups?? Take a look at this list and see how many sports you have played if these 12 ❤️ 💛
