We had a wonderful Friday Pilates class working the CORE 🔥

You may think that working the core involves endless crunches and planks but CORE is not just abs.
It includes pelvic floor, diaphragm, deep abdominals like transverse abdominals but also obliques, back muscles and hips.

PILATES STRONG

Theraband is one of my favourite accessories for Pilates workout. Great way to improve upper body strength while getting more flexible at the same time.

You are guaranteed to feel workout like this next day.

I’ve had my own Pilates and stretch practice today after the class.

Our class location is so wonderful, sometimes you just want to keep working out there forever.

It’s the beginning of December and the temperatures are still over 20 degrees during a day.

I realised today that I didn’t teach my classes kneeling leg kick and many plank Pilates exercises for a while.

So….. you can probably imagine what’s coming up over the next few weeks 🤪

🏐 SINGLE LEG STRETCH TO A CRISS-CROSS variation with a ball

Don’t you just love working with a Pilates ball?

▶️ Press the ball into your leg as you reach up to engage the core more, strengthen your quads and shoulder. But don’t forget to open out your elbow on the other side.

▶️ when you perform a criss-cross bring your opposing knee and elbow close together while lengthening out from your toes to the ball on the opposite side

Do it slowly trying to deepen the move and always remember to imprint and keep your belly button pulling towards a spine (don’t push through your stomach! )
