🎾 What Scouts Really Look For in Players Aged 10–14

Talent can open the door — but character, attitude, consistency and the ability to respond to challenges are what keep it open.

At the age of 10–14, scouts are not simply looking at how well a player hits the ball. They are watching how a young player behaves, reacts after losing a point, treats coaches and opponents, handles pressure, accepts feedback and performs consistently over time.

A talented player who lacks discipline, resilience and the right attitude may have limited long-term potential.

The real question is not:
“How good is the player today?”

It is:
“What kind of player — and person — can this child become?”

That is why parents, coaches and players should focus on long-term development rather than short-term results.

When you're over 65, running is generally not the best choice—especially on concrete. A brisk walk of a couple of kilometres in the morning is a much better option. It's excellent for your cardiovascular system, helps keep your muscles strong, and has a positive effect on your overall mental well-being.
Enjoy life. Don't torture yourself with pointless running😎
