Football Tournament Organization

✈️ Arrived to Venice.
Good time to have business trips in Europe.
First - to travel in a new place.
Second - to change of scenery.
Third - it is Easter Week. 🎉
Fourth - many good tournaments organized during this holidays. ⚽️ So you can check couple tournaments and meet with organizers during one week.
Thankfully, this year my teams do not have tournaments, so I have free weekend to attend 3 tournaments and meet with couple organizers regarding cooperation for the next year.
And one extra thing... on Sunday national team of 2004 yb. (with 2 players of Zenit) starts tournament against Saudi Arabia at 18:00. Must see, as the head coach of this team is the head coach of our Academy! What a coincidence 😁

At the end of March, we organized 10 days Camp for 2 senior teams. It was a great experience for everyone. Trainings two times a day, and two friendly games.
We were lucky with the weather, there was no rain, +13 almost every day very comfortable for trainings.
2 fields with artificial grass top quality. One field with natural grass, and a great project to reconstruct, develop and expand the facilities in mind.
I am impressed by the hospitality of the Serbian people. Thanks to my friends from Crvena Zvezda for everything.

Because of the Saturday weather 🌨❄️🌪, everything was delayed for 1 hour. It happens every time - something goes not as you planned. 🙃 The great skill of the organizer - is to make fast decisions that will be accepted by everyone involved in the event.
What we did - we moved some games inside, and as the field is small - the format changed to 5x5.
Inside 2005 played one half, and 2004 played the full match, 2 halves by 25 minutes.
💨 Afterward, the weather let us play outside, there was no snow but the wind was extremely fast. By the end of the playing day even the sun came to watch football of 2002, but unfortunately, FC Zenit loses 1:2.

It was full of snow today.. 🤦🏻‍♂️ but we managed that.
Director of AZ Academy told me that for their players it is a great experience to play in such conditions. That this is one of their principles - to give players play in different, uncomfortable situations. In their Academy they use different surfaces for that, like playing on the sand.
Today they have experienced one more option - play in snow storm, and they do not need to do anything for it - the weather did everything for them..

While we finalizing everything for AZ, I would like to share some info about the last tournament that I have organized.

It was at the beginning of February, we hosted Crvena Zvezda Academy. The format was the same as it will be with AZ, I have mentioned it in the previous post.
4 games were played on Saturday and 4 on Sunday.
5-3 by the winning games, 5 is for our Serbian friends.
2005 FCZ-CZ 5:2 / 1:0
2004 FCZ-CZ4:3 / 1:3
2003 FCZ-CZ 1:2 / 1:4
2002 FCZ-CZ 0:3 / 1:2
This year we are missing "Friendship Cup".
My congratulations to Crvena Zvezda.

☝️ First of all, I would like to share the upcoming event that will take place in St. Petersburg.
⚽️ We are inviting 4 senior teams of AZ Alkmaar to play against 4 teams of FC Zenit, as of VIII International Youth Football Tournament "Besov Cup".
Shortly speaking - this is an annual tournament that organized during pre-season and named after the founder of "Smena" football school.
The format is comfortable as each team could play one game on Saturday and one game on Sunday with the top leveled opponent.

👋 Hello everyone who is visiting this page.
I created it with the thoughts that this might be interesting to know the organizational parts of Youth Football Tournaments. ⚽️
🏆 I am organizing the tournaments for Youth Academy and also traveling with teams to different European tournaments. Sometimes I found it difficult to find good tournaments and I prize people that organizing, as I know what a tremendous work is behind a smooth picture.

I will share my experience, working moments, tasks, difficulties and what is needed to organize a top-level tournament. Let's see what it will come to...
