El café le ha permitido a nuestra mamá reinventarse, soñar y descubrir su propio valor. Le ha mostrado lo fuerte y resiliente que es. Cada día nos sentimos más orgullosos de la manera en que ve la vida: con esperanza, con determinación y con la certeza de que siempre se puede volver a empezar.
Y si le preguntan qué significa Bean Voyage, lo primero que sucede es que se le ponen los ojos vidriosos, como con ganas de llorar. Porque para ella, Bean Voyage es el ángel que Dios le envió para seguir en el café, para no rendirse y seguir creyendo en sus sueños.
Antes de salir, ella nos decía que esperaba poder ser una digna representación de las mujeres productoras de Costa Rica. Tenía miedo de no serlo. Cuando nos dijo esto casi nos hace llorar, porque, mamá, no solo representas a las mujeres productoras de Costa Rica, sino que eres un ejemplo de la fuerza femenina que con amor transforma todo lo que toca.
Gracias por todo lo que hacen por tantas mujeres y por ser el ángel que, junto con el café, le dio vida a nuestra mamá.

Coffee has allowed our mom to reinvent herself, to dream, and to discover her own worth. It has shown her how strong and resilient she truly is. Every day, we feel prouder of the way she sees life: with hope, determination, and the certainty that it’s always possible to begin again.
And if you ask her what Bean Voyage means, the first thing that happens is her eyes fill with tears. For her, Bean Voyage is the angel God sent to keep her in coffee, to not give up, and to continue believing in her dreams.
Before leaving, she told us that she hoped to be a worthy representative of the women coffee producers of Costa Rica. She was afraid she might not be. When she said this, she almost made us cry—because, mom, you don’t just represent the women producers of Costa Rica, you are an example of feminine strength, transforming with love everything you touch.
Thank you for everything you do for so many women, and for being the angel that, together with coffee, gave life back to our mom.
