An estimated 1 Billion Animals are thought to have been killed, hundreds of homes as well as communities destroyed and dozens of lives lost - including 4 firefighters. And, the fires aren’t over yet.
To give you and idea of the sheer size of these fires, they are about 80 times the size of the 2019 Californian wild fires.
The 26th of January is Australia Day, I’m hosting a basketball skills event to raise money for the as well as a local community in the Bega Valley of NSW Australia.
I was inspired to do this simply by the caring people here in B.C. Canada who have reached out to check on my family and friends after seeing the devastation on the news. It’s very difficult to be on the other side of the world knowing your homeland is dealing with such a catastrophic wildfire.
The impact of this will continue for many years, hopefully this small event can help a few families get back on their feet and take one small step forward.
Any size donation will be greatly appreciated.
Please register if you wish to attend as numbers will be limited for the event. REGISTER via email [email protected].
If you want to volunteer at the event or can donate prizes email or DM me directly please.
Sharing this will go a long way in helping and is greatly appreciated.
