Post spawn bass didn’t leave.
That’s the mistake most anglers make this time of year.
They’re still there — just tired, recovering, and a lot less willing to chase. Most fish won’t run down a fast moving bait right after the spawn. They sit low, watch, and make you prove it’s worth eating.
This is when slowing down matters most.
Smaller profile. Longer pause. Less movement.
Sometimes the fish is there the whole time. You’re just fishing too fast to see it.
