How to plan so much?
Travel planning is so time-consuming.

How I plan?
I don’t.
I know the basics I care about. I do them. And that’s all. Things I look at:

1) What’s the average price of hotels? Open Booking or Trip (1 min). If there are less than 20-30 places, I’ll be more cautious and do a more serious research or just drop the idea.

2) Flight price (1 minute).

3) Getting between cities (1-5 minutes).

4) Is there a war right now? A big chance of a conflict? (1 minute).

I can do all of this in 5 minutes.

One thing I really like about this approach is that mostly I have ZERO expectations. Like if you go to a city just because it has a cool-sounding name, or because it’s a place you have never been to, or because it’s a place in an interesting location, you are happy just to arrive to that airport/train station 😀

The plan was to do some hiking, eating, and then to go home to Thailand.

But… I received that email, saying that there are a few very last tickets for IVE’s 2nd world tour in Macao!

Macao is a 1-hour ferry ride away from HK.

Let’s go to Macao?? 🤔
