Yesterday was yet another day for some persons with disabilities in Meme Division Kumba who belong to OPDs to smile again as they received 100 haft bags of rice, 2 cartons of savon, 2 bags of salt and 2 cartons of cooking oil which was donated by a Nigerian Business Man by Name Mr Ndubisi Pius.

This initiative is a loudable support to PWDs through one of the associations on ground called Close the gap and persons who were present went home happy and thanking the donor for always remembering them .

We wish to appreciate the efforts of Mr Ndubisi and his representative for this wonderful support and also to encourage others to copy and replicate this God touching activity towards the less privileged especially persons with disabilities in our communities 🙏🙏

It was a great awareness raising and advocacy campaign exhibited today at the High Court of Meme Division by members of Associations and Organisations of persons with disabilities in Meme which was coordinated by Mme Ebude and our President himself and sponsored by , an organization that has made wave beyond the hills of Africa and now compete worldwide....

This initiative has sent a powerful message not only to the inhabitants of the court but also throughout the entire sub divisions of Meme that persons with disabilities are very much alive and are ready to contribute to the local development of their towns and should therefore not be neglected, marginalized nor left out again as it has always been the case around....

We are therefore appealing for the respect of persons with disabilities in Meme and a fair treatment and a fair representation in all domains....

During the II Council Town Hall consultation meeting this year 2024 ahead of the 2025 financial year, persons with disabilities where highly present to advocate for the inclusion of persons with disabilities in local administration and development...

Our remark was that the kumba II Council and her Lord Mayor was very friendly with the attendance of PWDs in his locality and encourages them to be active in the community.

The Lord Mayor also promised to include more persons with disabilities in this coming year's activities and also to train those who are willing to learn how to produce pavement bricks and others....

We therefore appreciate the kumba II Council and appeal for more to be do done for the effective participation of persons with disabilities in that community of the southwest region of Cameroon 🙏🙏
