In 2018, Award finalist Esther Omam formed the Southwest-Northwest Women’s Task Force (SNWOT), a coalition of over 150 women leaders who came together for peace talks in response to resurging conflict between the two Anglophone regions of . As the executive director of Reach Out, Esther also played a key role in organizing the first ever National Women’s Peace Convention in , which brought together over 1,200 women from across the country in July 2021 to demand an end to violence and call for peace.
