Roadtripping the chilean coast further north we stopped for a night at Playa Curiñanco. Dolphins playing in the waves, horses galloping along the shore, sunset and wine. Could be worse.

Nature in the Pumalin Nationalpark is well protected and can grow strong here. The plants like the giant rhubarb and the alerce trees are breathtaking beautiful.
The Conservation Land Trust protects some of the world‘s last remaining stands of those alerce trees, millennia-old giants (up to 50 m high and up to 5 m trunk calibre) that have been heavily logged for their rot-resistant timber. The oldest one is round about 3.600 years old.
