We came together, friends and family, to celebrate love, and the union of two wonderful human beings.
There was so much love, dedication and genuine engagement from everyone, both in the preparation and in the celebration itself. I don’t remember experiencing anything quite like it before. Weddings had always felt a little “political” to me somehow. This was so different.
For the first time, I truly understood the deeper meaning of a wedding celebration. We all came with sincere hearts, each pouring our love into it in our own different ways. Hopefully, in doing so, we helped the roots of this new family grow a little deeper and stronger.
Now, as we travel back to our homes, I had this sudden feeling that we are already drifting apart, going our own separate ways.
But rather than sadness, there is joy. A wholesome, heartwarming feeling.
Because perhaps coming together as a group and saying goodbye to one another can both be beautiful experiences. One is not complete without the other.
We were so blessed to come together and be part of this.
