Verbier. 57km fatti. 1km da fare...nelle gare su lunga distanza mi piace sempre questo momento 😁
Nel 2019 Line e Jean Francois mi chiesero di correre la Patrouille des Glaciers, famosa gara di scialpinismo che si svolge ogni due anni tra Zermatt e Verbier. Dopo anni di sci in pista si erano avvicinati da qualche tempo allo scialpinismo e volevano mettersi alla prova nella gara simbolo della Svizzera. La proposta non poteva che gasarmi così iniziammo subito un programma di allenamento, interrotto ben presto causa pandemia. E così rieccoci nel 2022 con qualche gara a squadre per rodare il team ed un meticoloso allenamento dei ragazzi che da novembre ad aprile non mollano un wend! Pronti,via. Il meteo dalla nostra, l'innevamento no 😬 tanti km da camminare rendono la competizione più dura ma i ragazzi non mollano, su e giù, su e giù...finché in un caldo pomeriggio di aprile tagliamo il traguardo. Che dire, bravi ragazzi, bel team, ben fatto!

In 2019 Line and Jean Francois asked me to run Patrouille des Glaciers, a famous team ski mountaineering race that takes place every two years between Zermatt and Verbier. After years of skiing on slopes they had been approaching ski mountaineering for some time and wanted to test themselves in this mytichal swiss competition. I liked immediately the proposal and we started a training program, soon interrupted due to the pandemic. And so here we are again in 2022 with some competitions to test the team and a meticulous training of the guys who do not give up a weekend from November to April! Ready, go. The weather on our side, the snow not 😬 many km to walk make the competition harder but the team don't give up and on a warm April afternoon we cross the finish line. What can I say, good guys, well done!
