Our Distributor Guepard-Bogensport gets serious in creation of an archery-center.The`ll enlarge archery shop, increase size of workshop and will create the for Switzerland unique indoor archery hall ( example in the pic ).

Nach etwa 5 Monaten in der neue Guepard Archery Shop zeigt sich das wir den Platz Bedürfnis Unterschätzt haben.
Werden jetzt erweitern mit ein zusätzliche Workshop und Lager. Der Archery Shop wird auf 300 m2 Meter effektiver Ladenräumlichkeit aufgestuft.
Auch ist es an die Zeit eine 3-D Halle mit integriertem Target Anlage endgültig in Angriff zu nehmen.

In Switzerland prices for archery equipment are excessive. Guepard Bogensport puts an end to that.
Whatever the product, they calculate at EU Price-Level.
Next week they start sales of our Swiss Made SkyArt Neptune Junior 15-25 #.
Price sfr. 4.75 / Arrow including 4" Natural Feathers, Over-nock and Over-point. Of course including a wrap.

We don`t introduce „new“ arrows every quarter because no reason.
But time has come now.
The SkyArt Sprint X20.
A 3-D arrow with an ID of 6,2 mm.
Spines 400 / 500 / 600 / 700
Available in Switzerland as finished Swiss Made arrow only.
Why only as finished arrow ?
Well, any decent producer can make the what we consider industrial standard of +/-0.001“ straightness and +/- 0.5 Grain Weight tolerance. Nothing special.
With the Sprint X20 we did not look for „Nano Carbon“ , neither for „Nano Technology“.
Also we did not look for arrows which can bend by 180° or those not influenced by side-winds.
Simply because we believe that « creative » marketing has no place in Europe.
We also stayed with medium-modular carbon fiber for reasons that high-modular is too brittle.
We concentrated at „ how to influence“ the flight characteristics of the arrow.
For that we included wind-channel test in our test-program.
A variety of surface treatments and arrow set-ups were subject to test, also in comparison with what we consider serious competitor arrows.
The results, meanwhile proven in practice, were amazing.
Superior speed and grouping at levels second to none.
At pricing which beats any arrow in same archery-segment.
It induced us to say…………………………………..
If grouping of the Sprint X20 is not superior to your present arrows in the same product-segment, we return the money paid for the Sprint X20.
The arrows will come as finished arrows, customized for drawing-length and FOC for the individual archer.
The Sprint X20 is exclusive available at Guepard-Bogensport Switzerland.

How Carbon-Composit arrow shafts are made. Part 1 ( step by step to avoid long stories )
First step ……………..it needs carbon fiber.
You will understand that none of the arrow-shaft producers produces carbon fiber.Rather those in the market-share overview are the producers.( Pic 1 )

The fibers produced, are loose fibers
The length of the fibers is an important parameter for the quality of the final arrow shafts.
Some manage to make the fibers as long as 5000 meter but some only manage 250 meter. ( Pic 2 )

These fibers are then used to make a bundle or a yar. ( Pic 3 )

Still not suitable to make a tube or shaft.
Note:
Needless to say that accumulation of fiber-ends when using 250 meter length of fiber occurs more frequent then when using 5000 meter length fiber.( you might be aware of the phenomenum that in some extreme cases you can break an arrow shaft between two fingers )

The bundles or yars are used to make pre-peg. ( Pic 4 )

Without entering too many details, Pre-Peg is the basic material for an arrow-shaft.
At average 50% resin and 50% Carbon. Therefore there is no full carbon. It`s always a carbon-composit.
Pre-Peg comes in rolls and stored at low temperatures to maintain quality.
Part 2. Will explain the "interesting" basics of how the arrow is made using the pre-peg.

What about N-Fused Carbon ? Looking for some reliable source ..............Google gave the answer under "N-Fused Carbon" or "What is N-Fused Carbon"

Auch bei uns wurde nachgefragt über Nano-Carbon Pfeilschaften bzw. weswegen wir die nicht produzieren.

Die Antwort ist Einfach:

Es gibt bis auf wenige Nischen noch keine Anwendungen für Nanoröhren in der industriellen Produktion beziehungsweise in Produkten am Markt
Kohlenstoffnanoröhren, auch CNT (carbon nanotubes), sind mikroskopisch kleine röhrenförmige Gebilde aus Kohlenstoff
Der Durchmesser der Röhren liegt meist im Bereich von 1 bis 50 nm, es wurden aber auch Röhren mit nur 0,4 nm Durchmesser hergestellt. Länge von bis zu einem halben Meter für einzelne Röhren und bis zu 20 cm für Röhrenbündel wurden bereits erreicht
In der universitären und industriellen Forschung werden verschiedene Applikationen entwickelt:
Die Forscher ist es selbstverständlich nicht bekannt das einige Pfeilschaft Lieferanten den industrielle Einsatz schon längst volkommen im Griff haben .
Dazu gehört SkyArt Archery nicht und deswegen gibt es bei uns keinen aus Nano-Carbon hergestellten Pfeilen bzw. bleiben wir nach europäischer Art mit den Beinen auf den Boden.
