🔚 It’s over ladies & gentlemen… our 3x3 Nati won’t participate in the next Paris 2024 Olympics as Switzerland got eliminated today of the OQT that takes place in Debrecen

👀 After a brilliant start against Germany in the opening game, our Nati felt short against Lithuania on their 2nd game. On their last game today, Switzerland could not resist the worst ranked team of this tournament, Madagascar, losing 21-16 and saying goodbye to Paris this summer

🙏🏼 Congratulations to all players involved who fought so hard to have a chance to be at the biggest sport stage in the world !
With 2 OQT, Switzerland, unfortunately, could not perform as expected with 2 eliminations in the Group Phase…
Let’s now hope that SWB executives will learn from their mistakes & their pitiful management & draw the consequences to be at the level for the next Olympics

🔥 It’s now official, we know the line-up of our Nati for the upcoming Olympic Qualifying Tournament that will take place in Debrecen next May 16-19.

👀 After failing to reach Paris this summer in the 1st OQT, Swiss Basketball will have its 2nd & last chance to grab a ticket to the Olympic Tournament with a new roaster composed by Team Lausanne players, Gilles Martin & Marco Lehmann & Natan Jurkovitz & Jonathan Dubas from Fribourg 3x3

Let’s now get ready for Debrecen guys !

This one hurts 🥹 As we announced earlier this season, Robbi Gubitosa is giving up on his head coach position for SAM Basket Massagno!

12 years to build a team who finally offered us one of the best finals of SB League history, to lead this 6000 peoples city to their first trophy ever last year with the SBL Cup, to show the entire Switzerland that with obsession you can do anything …

Thank you Robbi Gubitosa, your legacy is beyond that trophy, you’ll be remembered as the first one to ever wins for Massagno for sure but also and mainly for your journey who led to that title and for the special man you are !

We gonna miss you 🫶

💣 After his Disqualifying foul against Neuchatel in the Semifinals Game 4, Marko Mladjan has been sanctioned with a 3 game suspension

👀 Massagno Forward will then miss Game 1 of the SBL Finals this Saturday against Fribourg but according to our sources, the Ticino club will appeal the sanction. If so, Marko might still play in Game 2 as a result of the suspensive effect of the appeal filed by Massagno

🥶 Tough news for Spinelli Massagno who will also play without Yuri Solca, out for the rest of this season

🤯 What a SBL Women Finals fellas… Down 2-0 by the powerhouse Elfic Fribourg, Nyon Basket Féminin did the impossible by defeating Elfic in Game 3 (who was undefeated in the last 2 years) & once again in Game 4 yesterday night to force a decisive Game 5 for the championship !

🤩 Down in the 4th Quarter, Nyon found the resources to force Overtime & get the 2nd Win in a row against Elfic well helped by the MONSTER performance of the new Portuguese player of Nyon, Carolina Rodrigues who was unstoppable in front of a full crowd in Le rocher !

👀 Such as 2 years ago, we’ll have another Game 5 between those 2 squads…
One game, 40 minutes to win the 2024 title… who’s gonna come home with the cup ?
