Some seasons ask us to push. This one is asking me to pause.
After a hamstring injury that has been slow to heal, I am taking July and August away from my regular classes to give my body the focused care it has been waiting for. In yoga we call this ahimsa, non-harming, and the first person we are asked to offer it to is ourselves.
I am not disappearing though. You will still find me at campground yoga on Saturday mornings, plus two free noon-hour sessions at the Somba Ke Park Amphitheater on July 16 and August 12. Thursday evenings return in September, with a new faster paced Wednesday flow joining the schedule.
