I want to take a few minutes to explain what RESPOND FORWARD is, why I started this GoFundMe, and what I’m hoping to build from here.
I was born with quadriplegic cerebral palsy and have spent my entire life in a wheelchair. Growing up, there were a lot of things I couldn’t control and a lot of uncertainty about what my life would eventually look like.
But somewhere along the way, I learned something that has shaped almost everything I’ve done since:
Your circumstances don’t determine your impact. Your response does.
At 12 years old, I found the gym. What started as an outlet eventually became bodybuilding, and bodybuilding became a huge part of my life.
The road was anything but straight.
I competed for years, came close multiple times, stepped away from the sport, worked through some of the hardest periods of my life, and eventually decided to come back.
In June 2025, after years of chasing it, I earned my IFBB Pro Card as a wheelchair bodybuilder.
A few months later, I was on the Olympia stage in Las Vegas.
Those are accomplishments I’ll always be proud of, but the older I get, the more I realize that the medals, titles and stages aren’t really the story.
What you do with those experiences is.
That’s where RESPOND FORWARD comes from.
Respond Forward is the message I’m now taking into schools, businesses and communities through speaking. It’s about confidence, resilience, personal responsibility and understanding that even when we don’t get to choose our circumstances, we still get to choose how we respond to them.
Now I’m looking toward 2027.
My goal is to return to the bodybuilding stage, compete at some of the biggest events in the sport and earn my way back to the Olympia.
At the same time, I want to use that journey to continue growing Respond Forward, reach more people, create more speaking opportunities and show what is possible when you keep choosing to move forward.
That’s why I created this GoFundMe.
Competing at this level comes with significant travel, accommodations, entry fees and other expenses, especially while competing internationally and travelling with a wheelchair.
I didn’t make the decision to fundraise lightly. I received incredible support during my Olympia journey last year, and I never want to take that generosity for granted.
But I also realized this next chapter is about something bigger than simply getting back onstage.
It’s about taking everything this sport and this life have taught me and using it to create an impact beyond myself.
If you believe in what I’m building and would like to be part of it, any donation would be incredibly appreciated. And if donating isn’t possible, simply sharing this post or the GoFundMe can make a huge difference.
There’s a lot I want to accomplish in 2027.
Another Olympia run.
More stages.
More schools.
More conversations.
More opportunities to make an impact.
And this is just the beginning.
