Skateboarding with Morgo is opening up a few slots for new or returning private lesson students for July & August!

Lessons are one hour long and cover safety, park etiquette, pushing and balance, weight distribution and foot placement, line building, technique troubleshooting, and trick-specific support. Lesson plans are fully personalized to the student’s pace of learning and goals, and aim to support students in every area of skateboarding - prioritizing confidence, comfort, competency, and community.

Location is dependent on student’s preferences and goals, but are typically held at either The Forks or Red River Skatepark.

Hey Selkirk! 📢

It’s been a bit of a late start getting the ball rolling this year, but we are FINALLY opening up some timeslots for our group skateboarding workshops! On Sunday, June 28th we will be bringing the hype, teaching some tricks, and helping to create some fun summer memories on four wheels!

COMMUNITY DAY 2025

Holy moly, what a day! Turnout this year was slightly lower than anticipated, but what we lacked in numbers, we made up for in quality time and fun. I feel very lucky and thankful to have the resources and support backing me to be able to put this on for the fourth year in a row. Every year, we gain more insight and experience on how to give the youth the best possible experience and opportunity to gain confidence and friendship through the beautiful thing that is skateboarding. Without them, the future of the skateboarding world would be pretty bleak, so I believe it is of utmost importance to nurture and curate spaces that encourage skaters of all levels to keep pushing and never give up.

You didn’t think we forgot about Community Day this year, did you?! In collaboration with and , Skateboarding with Morgo is thrilled to be announcing our FOURTH annual Community Day meetup at Riverbend Skatepark to cap off another incredible summer! ☀️

This event serves as a way for me to show my appreciation and give back to all of my hard working students, to offer a fun and welcoming space to meet up and create lasting friendships and memories with other skaters, and an opportunity to showcase and celebrate all of the skills everybody has worked so hard to dial in over the summer. 🛹

This is a beginner-focused event, but is open to all ages and skill levels. In addition to some friendly jam-style competitions, we will be also offering some structured individual and group activities, trick tips and skate support, a clothing and gear swap table, snacks, and more!

We are so excited to be doing this for the fourth year in a row, and can’t wait to see you all there! 🥳

Skateboarding with Morgo is in the process of organizing a beginner 6-week group lesson program in Winnipeg! $120 for 6 total hours of group instruction. Dates and times TBD based on the number of participants that are interested.
