This is my story.
I played competitive sports my whole life and knew that I wanted to spend my life surrounded by others who had the same love for sports and bettering their health, but for a while I wasn’t sure exactly what that meant for me.
At 17, I moved to Toronto to play softball at Humber. A lot of hardships from my childhood sucker punched me right in the face when I moved 4 hours from home which you can imagine could be a lot for me to handle. I stopped playing softball after 1 season and spent the next 2.5 years of my life trying to understand what/why I had experienced in my childhood which drove me to lose all capacity for living a healthy life. I failed out of my programs, couldn’t hold a job for the life of me, I had an extremely unhealthy relationship with food where I gained over 60lb and my mental health was in the gutter.
I decided to move home after 2.5 years of living miserably and get better. I started therapy where I dove face first into healing my trauma, I started moving my body more and learnt how to find the joy in even the simplest things. After 2 years of healing physically, mentally, and spiritually, I made it my goal to study Fitness and Health and be a part of the St. Clair College Softball Team which is where I found a huge part of my purpose.
Playing softball and studying to become a Personal Trainer has been truly life changing for me, it’s allowed me to fully connect with my true self again! I’ve been provided with the best support to kickstart my business and it feels GOOD to be doing what I love!
P.S i love you if you read till the end ❤️
