In this class we will move to the musical majesty of the greats from as far back as the 1930s to present day while focusing on performance, expression, and a variety of jazz and heels dance techniques. It’s jazzy recreation not limited to indulging in our sexy sauciness, playing with character development, and not taking ourselves too seriously.

Sultry contemporary is a celebration of our innate sensuality sans heels. In this class we will sensitize to our bodies through a supportive warm up followed by learning a spacious combination that will allow for individual exploration. Within the framework of our choreography, we will integrate optimal postural alignment, isolations, floorwork, and embodied storytelling. Variations on timing, intention, and quality of movement are welcome and encouraged in this sultry container.
