In April 2013, GrassRoutes in biking across Turkey, working with local schools and fundraising to support women entrepreneurs in Eastern Turkey with training & microfinance. Journey to the Midnight Sun:
In August 2013, GrassRoutes biked from Vancouver to the Arctic Ocean, building a dialogue between youth in Northern & Southern Canada, and supporting existing sustainability initiatives in Northern Canada. We will led interactive workshops about climate change and youth leadership in Vancouver, Powell River, Whitehorse, Pelly Crossing, and Inuvik. We also fundraised through our journey to support the Purple Bike Project, a community bike co-op in Whitehorse.
