Bad news riders, the airbags are staying packed this summer.
No Whistler Airbag for Summer 2026. ❌
Due to mountain-wide power shutoffs for snowmaking renovations, we are unable to operate.
We’ve been working behind the scenes to navigate the upgrades happening on the mountain, but the reality is that there is no power available to run our bags.
We didn’t give up easily—we scouted Creekside and Base 2, and even crunched the numbers on generators. Between underground power lines, bedrock, fire hazards, and the noise/fumes of industrial generators, there just wasn’t a viable way to make it happen without compromising the guests’ experience.
We’re gutted we won’t be there to see you stomp those new tricks this season. We are taking this time to focus on a more permanent solution so we can come back stronger.
