watch how you carry yourself at the track.

you don’t know what someone brought with them when they rolled through that tunnel or walked through that front gate.

that driver tightening lug nuts in the glow of a garage light? might’ve worked double shifts all week just to afford two new tires and a tank of fuel.
that kid wiping rubber specks off the door? could be trying to outrun the noise at home by finding peace in the hum of impact guns and the smell of race fuel.
that woman sitting alone in the grandstands with a hat clutched in her hands? she might be cheering for someone who’s not here anymore.

this place isn’t just asphalt, concrete walls, and bright lights.
for a lot of people, it’s a lifeline.
a break from reality.
a heartbeat they look forward to when the rest of the world feels too heavy.

so before you talk smack about a car that’s off the pace, laugh at a scuffed-up body panel, or throw shade at someone’s effort — stop.
not everyone is chasing a trophy.
some are chasing peace.
some are just trying to keep going.

your comment might be the one that lands harder than any crash into the safer barrier.
your ā€œjokeā€ might be the reason someone packs up in silence… or doesn’t come back next week.

and for what? a cheap laugh? a bit of attention? a moment to feel bigger?

racing is tough. life’s tougher.
and to some folks, these grandstands, garages and tracks are the only place they still feel like they belong.

so choose better.
clap for the underfunded team grinding in the back of the pits.
offer your jack when someone’s breaks.
see the person behind the visor — not just the number on the door.

we’re all out here holding it together as best we can.
let the track be a place where we build each other up, not tear each other down.

because one day, you’ll wish you’d shown more grace.
you’ll wish you’d said one more kind word.
and by then, it might be too late.

so hold your tongue.
hold your patience.
hold your heart open.

even in the thunder of engines and the burn of rubber… compassion still matters more than horsepower.

I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms from the racing scene and missing interactions with fellow enthusiasts at the track. The substitution of snow for the smell of burnt rubber and the pursuit of grip feels abnormal. I am excited to start working on the new car, which will involve significant time and effort, as well as some duct tape and good fortune, but we will prevail. I miss the social aspect, late nights in the pits, and the adrenaline rush of the first green flag under the lights. After winter, we will return to racing on the pavement.šŸšŸ”§šŸ˜‚

Be careful what you do and say at the Track…

Because you never know what kind of storm someone’s already fighting.

That driver pulling into the pits might’ve skipped meals all week just to buy fuel. That kid sweeping dirt off the trailer? Might be carrying the weight of a broken home, just trying to find peace in the roar of a race car. That woman in the stands holding a photo instead of someone’s hand — she might be cheering for a memory now.

This track… it’s not just where we race.
It’s where people heal.
It’s where dreams are built… and sometimes where people come to outrun their demons for a few hours.

So when you throw shade, mock someone’s effort, spread gossip, or make a ā€œjokeā€ at someone else’s expense — stop and think. That might be the comment that crushes someone already hurting. You might never know it, but your words could be the thing that sends someone home in silence — or worse, never brings them back.

And for what? A laugh? A like? A little attention?

Look, racing is tough. Life is tougher. And sometimes this place — this muddy little patch of land under the lights — is the only safe place someone has left.

So be better.
Be the one who encourages the kid with the underpowered car.
Be the one who helps a stranger fix a flat.
Be the one who sees the soul behind the helmet, not just the number on the door.

We’re all just people trying to hold it together in a world that doesn’t make it easy. The track should be where we lift each other up — not tear each other down.

Because one day… you’ll wish you’d said something kinder. One day you’ll wish you’d done more. And by then, it might be too late.

So be careful. Be kind. Be human.
Even in the chaos of horsepower and heartbreak — compassion matters.

ā€œDear loved ones,

I want you to know I’m sorry. I’m sorry for making you worry every time I strap into my race car for you are worried this could be our last time together. I also want you to know that if that is the case I’m sorry I left on such short notice and please know that was never my intention. I know you wonder sometimes why I race and you expect me to say because I love to go fast or something along those lines. That makes you roll your eyes and laugh a little but the truth is I can’t answer that question because I don’t really know, I just love this sport and everything about it. I know that’s not the answer you wanted but it’s the best answer I have. I also want to say thank you. Thank you for never trying to change my love for the sport, even though there have been many times you probably wished I would take it easy or maybe even walk away for a while. Although I don’t always tell you this your supporting me in following a dream means more to me than you will ever know.

Sincerely, Your Racer.ā€

Disappointingly, our practice did not yield a favourable outcome. We need a new car and are unsure if we will participate again this year, but we are hopeful that we will find another vehicle in time. It has been an incredible year. We acknowledge the exceptional support of our sponsors, Northwest Cooling Systems INC, as we could not have accomplished this without them, and to our fans, thank you for your loyal support and attendance every weekend.
