It’s been six years, so I thought it was time for a reintroduction.
Heyo, I’m Callie!
I grew up on the shores of Lake Superior in Wawa, Ontario, surrounded by forests, lakes, rivers and endless wild spaces to explore. I have two dogs - Maple and Mijin, who join me on basically all of my adventures!
I grew up playing hockey and went on to play Division 1 at Mercyhurst, where I studied sports medicine. This experience deepened my curiosity about movement and the body, along with what it means to feel alive and connected to yourself. It has also taught me a lot about my relationship to "success" and performance, and led me to explore what it means to be in devotion to my souls calling.
I am a multidimensional being, filled with paradox and diversity. Like Superior, I express many moods. My path so far has taken me to many places, weaving together practices like yoga, trauma-informed care, herbalism, massage, women’s health, strength training, outdoor education, along with surf, nordic ski, snowboard and paddling instruction.
These days, you’ll find me paddling, camping, surfing, gardening, fishing, dancing up a storm, making things with my hands, listening to birdsong, being silly, sitting around a fire, cooking delicious food and sharing it with others.
I feel most at home when I'm outside, barefoot, playing in the waves, exploring creativity with others, getting messy, and simply connecting with the land.
One of my favourite adventures so far was paddling 700 km from the Michipicoten River to James Bay with my dog and partner. I’m always dreaming up more time on the water - paddling Lake Superior and the many rivers that flow into her, reconnecting with the land, and finding creative ways to share it all with others.
Can't wait to connect with you! Thanks for being here through the waves of change 🌊
Thank you for capturing me in my natural habitat 🤎
