Forest Yoga is so delightful. If you were thinking about trying it, this is your sign to do it.

A gentle walk in, a practice by the river, and walking back out. Listening to the birds, the flowing river, the rippling leaves in the breeze. Watching the colours change over a few weeks, the leaves falling… the forest is truly magic.

I can speak for myself, this past weekends practice left me so grounded and so at peace.

Yoga & Hiking

After my hike this past weekend… I couldn’t be more impressed with the yoga practice. There’s something about a long hike and the physical sensations that occur in your body afterwards. I’ve noticed lately that my body speaks about physical sensations after exertion… a twinge in my hip or a dull ache in my knee… or maybe it’s just that I’m listening more these days to myself, my body, and my intuition.

I was pretty certain that I would wake up the next day with physical aches in my body to remind me of my hike… but before I even got into my car to drive home from the hike… I did something I have never done…

I did some yoga outside of my car. 🧘🏻‍♀️ ✨

It felt SO good to go through some movements… I swear I heard my body say “ahh thank you” 😂

The thing I couldn’t believe…. Was the next day I didn’t wake up with any aches or pains. By all rights, I should have had some swelling in my knees (it’s something in this last year I’ve been experiencing after snowboarding, long hikes, etc). But there was nothing.

Yoga is a great way to treat your body after physical activities like hiking. It helps to balance and rejuvenate the body.

FLOW with Jenn of Growth in the Grove

Jenn describes her teaching style simply:

“I like to teach for what I see. My goal is to work with what is present in each body to offer release and balancing.”

Flow is an all-levels-friendly class that works with your body.

Prepare to move, breathe and laugh as Jenn guides you through unique sequences designed to help release physical sensations, encourage movement and create a little more balance in your body.

New to yoga? You’re welcome here.
Been practising for years? You’re welcome here too.

And with a maximum of just 6 people per class, there’s room for Jenn to actually see the people in front of her and adapt the practice accordingly.

🌿 THE SCHEDULE

Tuesdays: 10:00 AM & 6:00 PM
Thursdays: 10:00 AM & 6:00 PM

Classes are 60 minutes.

🌿 8-WEEK SERIES — $159 + HST

This includes ONE class per week for 8 weeks — 8 classes total.

When registering, you'll choose your regular weekly class:

• Tuesday at 10 AM
• Tuesday at 6 PM
• Thursday at 10 AM
• Thursday at 6 PM

Your spot in that class is reserved for the full 8-week series.

A 2-week flexibility window is built into the schedule to accommodate any necessary make-up classes or scheduling changes.

Drop-In — $22 + HST

Passes and drop-ins are subject to availability, as each class is limited to only 6 participants.

A minimum of 3 participants is required for a class to run.

MEET YOUR YOGA INSTRUCTOR 🌿

We’re getting closer to the launch of yoga at Havn, and it’s time to introduce the lovely human who will be leading our classes.

Meet Jenn of Growth in the Grove. 🧘‍♀️

Jenn will be joining us this October to bring small-group yoga to the Havn classroom — with classes designed to feel welcoming, approachable and supportive, whether yoga has been part of your life for years or this is your very first time stepping onto a mat.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our 60-minute classes will combine mindful movement, mobility, strength, balance and breathwork in a relaxed, supportive environment.

And because classes are capped at just 6 participants, Jenn will have the opportunity to offer more individual attention, modifications and guidance than you might find in a larger studio setting.
