Cedar Heart School of Karate-do We teach traditional karate classes in Victoria, British Columbia with an emphasis on the art of karate-do, rather than competitive sport karate.

Classes held at three locations in Victoria. We are a member of the Wado Karate Association of Canada.

🥋 Thinking about trying karate this fall? There’s a place for you and your family at Cedar Heart!

Kids, teens and adults are now welcome at three locations across Victoria and Esquimalt, and complete beginners are always welcome!

Whether you’re looking for a positive activity for your child or you’ve always wanted to try karate yourself, Cedar Heart offers traditional Wado-ryu karate in a supportive, welcoming environment where students can learn step by step and progress at their own pace.

Training helps students build confidence, focus, fitness, coordination and discipline, while learning new skills and having something meaningful to work toward.

🥋 OAKLANDS COMMUNITY CENTRE
Kids 6–12 • Saturdays 9:45–10:45 AM
Teens & Adults 13+ • Wednesdays 7:30–8:45 PM

🥋 ESQUIMALT-GORGE PAVILION
Kids 6–12 • Thursdays 6:00–7:00 PM
Teens & Adults 13+ • Thursdays 7:15–8:30 PM

🥋 DOWNTOWN VICTORIA
Philippine Bayanihan Community Centre
Kids 6–12 • Wednesdays 5:30–6:30 PM

No experience needed. Beginners are welcome.

🥋 The dojo is where we learn. Consistent practice is where we become stronger.

A few extra repetitions. A few minutes of training outside class. The small things you do when nobody is watching add up over time.

Train in the dojo. Train outside it. Stay consistent and keep improving.

Strength isn’t built in one class. It’s built through what you choose to practice again and again.

Registration is NOW OPEN!

Cedar Heart School of Karate-dĹŤ is excited to announce our new karate classes at the Esquimalt-Gorge Pavilion, starting this fall through Esquimalt Recreation.

Classes begin Thursday, September 24.

Kids Karate (Ages 6–12)
Thursdays | 6:00–7:00 PM

Teen & Adult Karate (13+)
Thursdays | 7:15–8:30 PM

No experience is needed, and new students are very welcome. Classes are beginner-friendly, structured, and supportive.

Space is limited, so we recommend registering early.

Kids Karate at Oaklands!

Our Saturday kids program is a great place for children to build confidence, focus, discipline, coordination, and respect through traditional karate-dĹŤ.

Classes are beginner-friendly, structured, and supportive, with students learning at their own pace while developing strong habits on and off the dojo floor.

Fall term registration is opening soon, and new students are welcome.
