So very important to familiarize yourself with hospital policies when it comes to delayed cord clamping and immediate skin to skin contact if no issues after birth.
These are things you can bring up with your midwife or Doctor. Very important aspect when creating a birth plan. Keep in mind that a Doula can help you achieve your birth plan, and make it an over all positive experience.

This mama is in a trance-like state, absorbing. Initial bonding is a sight to behold and as a midwife I am lucky to be able to preserve this for my mamas. If birthing in a hospital first find out about their immediate policies.
