In honour of Mother’s Day, here is me and my sister with my Tae Kwon Do Mama.

This is my 27th year in Tae Kwon do and she still shows up to my tests, helps carry my gear and wipes the tears when things don’t go my way.

She cleaned the mats in my very first club so we could afford to even send me to Tae Kwon do. She suffered through 4 am ferry rides and uncomfortable bleachers. She gave up weekends for tournaments and tests and learned the trick of getting all the stains out of white uniforms. If it wasn’t for all the work she put it in to keep me in Tae Kwon Do, there wouldn’t be a Vegreville Martial Arts today.

I love you mom.

Happy mother’s days to all the moms out there. The ones who drive us to class, wash out uniforms, make sure we have our water bottles, pay our fees, and keep us kicking. We love and appreciate all of you.
