Queer Active

Queer Active Team Vancouver (TV) was established in 1989 to facilitate athletes going to the 1990 Out Games being held here in Vancouver. Introducing “Q***r Active”.

Over the past 22 years TV has been relied upon to provide athletes with uniforms for upcoming Gay and Out games as well as host the occasional welcome party for attendees. The Board of TV believes its time for us to be more relevant to our community and to provide more access and more options to q***r youth. Over the past year the board has spent countless hours reshaping, rebranding and renaming

Team Vancouver. Our Mission

To empower q***r individuals through sport and fitness. Our Primary Beneficiaries

Q***r Youth (16-25)

We hope to partner with some of our communities established organizations in order to help with not only our mission but with theirs as well. Our goal is to see more q***r youth enjoying positive self esteem, healthy bodies, healthy minds and form new friendships through the power of sportsmanship. We will be giving our q***r youth alternative options to clubbing, drugs and drinking. We eventually hope to have a bursary program so that we can assist q***r youth financially as well. Social media, websites, live presentations and Q***r Active events will be our method of connecting with youth, and we need volunteers to assist in this great undertaking. Q***r Active is always looking for volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering please contact us at [email protected]
