Great practice Ravens tonight! We are back on track!

09/14/2026

Good evening Ravens Parents,

Our Ultimate Frisbee team is made up of 42 athletes, which means our gym is often filled with bodies, energy, and excitement. With such a large group, safety and proper supervision depend on every athlete following the expectations that all of our school teams are expected to follow.

Today’s practice was particularly difficult. Some athletes had a very hard time listening and following basic expectations, which made it challenging to maintain a safe, productive, and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Please speak with your child about the importance of:
• Listening when a coach is speaking
• Respecting coaches, teammates, and others
• Following school and team expectations
• Being focused and ready to participate
• Showing up prepared to be a positive student-athlete
• Understanding that their behaviour affects the entire team

With 42 students in the gym, it is already challenging to supervise such a large group. When athletes choose not to follow instructions or demonstrate disrespectful behaviour, it becomes extremely difficult to provide the kind of practice environment that everyone deserves.

We want this program to be successful, and more importantly, we want our athletes to learn the values that come with being part of a team: responsibility, respect, discipline, teamwork, and accountability.

Moving forward, if an athlete is unable to follow the basic rules and expectations of the school and the team, they will be asked to leave practice.

We are asking for your support in reinforcing these expectations at home. Please remind your child that being part of a team is a privilege, and every athlete has a responsibility to contribute positively to the group.

Thank you for your support and commitment,
J Stacey

Guess. Where I am

06/21/2026

As the World cup is played on home soil this year, I need to mention a Raven that is making his mark in the World as we speak. I had the pleasure 9f coaching this young man in basketball as well as teaching him. Dominik was a special kid from the moment I saw him in the gym, being surrounded by athletes all my life , you know when one is special. And well folks , he comes from the same small town as you, he went to the same elementary and sec 1 school as you, he has the same coaches as you, so there is hope when you are blessed with discipline and work ethic, and of course natural
Talent. Dominik is living in Portugal where he plays for a soccer Academy in Braga Portugal. Hard work, commitment, dedication, pay off. He’s living his dream, and the ravens couldn’t be prouder.
Good get them kid!!
And why is picture not all over the local
Newspapers!!!
