This is what showing up looks like. ❤️

This past Saturday, riders, walkers, volunteers, partners and community members came together for STOP THE TRAFFICK, and what happened was bigger than an event.

It was a community choosing to stand with survivors, raise awareness, and refusing to look away.

From Fall River to Milford, Millbrook and Masstown, people showed up with one shared purpose: to make it clear that human trafficking is not someone else’s problem. It is happening in our communities, and our communities have a role in confronting it.

Every rider who joined the route.
Every walker who took a step.
Every volunteer who gave their time.
Every organization that stood beside us.
Every person who sponsored, donated, shared, encouraged, baked, organized, or simply showed up.

You are a part of the solution.

We are so deeply grateful to everyone who helped make STOP THE TRAFFICK such a meaningful success.

This was more than kilometres travelled. It was awareness turned into action, community turned into courage, and people choosing to stand beside survivors and say: we see you, we believe you, and we are not looking away.

And we’re not done sharing the impact yet. ❤️

Keep checking back for our final total raised, total kilometres walked, a comprehensive list of event sponsors, and some incredible footage from this amazing day.

Thank you for showing up.

❗️❣️ TODAY IS THE DAY. ❣️❗️

The Halifax–Moncton corridor has been identified as a route used in human trafficking.

Today, we fill part of that route with something else.

Riders. Walkers. Four communities. One refusal to look away.

Every kilometre travelled.
Every step walked.
Every person who shows up says the same thing:

Survivors matter. Our communities are watching. And exploitation does not get to own this road.

Come walk, ride, and take a stand with us today.

A little behind-the-scenes prep for tomorrow’s STOP THE TRAFFICK fundraiser. ❤️

TREY’s Executive Director Amber is in the kitchen baking goodies for the incredible walkers and bikers who are showing up to stand with survivors, raise awareness, and help us take a stand against human trafficking in our communities.

Tomorrow, we ride. We walk. We show up.

⌛️1 DAY TO GO⌛️

93%.

That is not just a statistic.
That is daughters. Sisters. Mothers. Friends. Girls who deserved safety and got exploitation instead.

Tomorrow, we have a choice: scroll past, or show up.

Human trafficking is happening here. In our province. In our communities. And silence gives it room to hide.

Tomorrow, stand with survivors. Stand with supporters of a solution.. Ride. Walk. Speak up.

Now we know that there is a problem❌
… let’s be a part of the solution ✔️

Only 2 days to go.🚦

Human trafficking is not something that only happens somewhere else. It happens here. It’s happening in OUR communities. And it can happen without someone ever being moved, kidnapped, or taken across a border.

It can hide behind relationships, grooming, manipulation, threats, coercion, and control.

This weekend, be part of the movement to
🛑STOP THE TRAFFICK.🛑

Ride. Walk. Learn. Share. Stand with survivors.

So grateful to have Rainy and Cupcake representing the Truro Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse as we met about their chapter’s involvement in our upcoming Stop the Traffick: Bike & Hike for a Cause. ❤️

BACA is one of the community organizations coming alongside TREY for this initiative and will be leading the motorcycle ride from Fall River, through Milford and Millbrook, to Masstown on September 12. 🏍️

We loved learning more about the work they do and are so thankful to have them involved. If you’d like to learn more about the Truro Chapter of BACA and the work they do, leave a comment or send us a message and we’d be happy to help make that connection 🤝.

3 DAYS TO GO.

One of the most dangerous myths about human trafficking is that traffickers always look dangerous.

They don’t.

Sometimes they look like a boyfriend.
A girlfriend.
A protector.
Someone who “understands.”
Someone who gives attention, gifts, affection, rides, money, or a place to belong.

And then, slowly, that care becomes control.

Between 2014 and 2024, 36% of women and girls identified in police-reported human trafficking cases were trafficked by an intimate partner.

That is why awareness matters.

Because grooming can look like love long before it looks like exploitation.

This Saturday, we are riding and walking to make these conversations visible in our communities, to stand with survivors, and to help people recognize exploitation before it becomes even harder to escape.

3 days to go.
