Kali deLeon (KDL) is a Filipino Martial Art based on the creative but disciplined use of various weapons including, but not limited to, sticks, knives, improvised weapons and empty-hand techniques. More than that, KDL is the melding of battle tested traditional techniques with modern teaching methodologies. KDL offers a complete curriculum built upon progressive skills development that has been sh

own to both quickly advance and deeply inspire each and every KDL student. Other names sometimes used for the Filipino Martial Arts are Escrima and Arnis. These arts train skills in stick fighting and knife fighting. We train together on Sunday afternoons in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. Those interested in joining the group must arrange to view a class and then be interviewed by one of the group leaders.

One of our KDL brothers Robert Pinga passed away unexpectedly earlier this week. Robert and his son Marcelino trained at the main KDL school with Ama G**o Jun and had also visited our class in Newmarket.

Please join us and sending prayers for Robert and his family. We will all miss him.

In lieu of sending flowers, Robert’s family has requested that donations be sent to the go fund me link below to help with Marcellino‘s education fund as he will be starting university next year.
