If you are alone in your division, need to move divisions, have an issue with your bracket, or need any other adjustment, please arrive at least 1 hour before your scheduled division.

All division changes and adjustments will be handled at the event.

Our staff will do their best to match competitors appropriately and resolve any issues on site.

⚠️ Do not arrive at your match time expecting a division change. Come early so we have enough time to help you.

Deashi Harai is all about timing.

A few key details make all the difference:

• Foot placement: Your sweeping foot should make clean contact with your opponent’s foot or ankle. Don’t kick through the leg. Think of it as brushing the foot away.

• Kuzushi (off-balancing): The sweep only works if your opponent’s weight has already shifted.

• Attack between steps: The best moment is when your opponent’s foot is light and moving. Catch them between steps, before they can plant their weight.

Master the timing, and Deashi Harai becomes effortless.
