All good things come to an end Sharad Vesawkar. I had the privilege of witnessing some of your finest days in Nepalese cricket, and your contributions, both on and off the field, are truly immeasurable.
Before the 2013 World Cup qualifier, when we spoke about focusing solely on 50-over cricket, I remember your tears as you expressed your determination to work hard and become the best T20 batter. You proved that resolve by leading us to victory in the critical matches of that qualifier. As coaches, we take great pride in seeing players rise to challenges, question our decisions, and enhance the game. Your journey to the 2014 T20 World Cup was marked by significant contributions in vital games for Nepal—your winning runs against Kenya, the thrilling semifinal against the UAE, and that crucial match against Hong Kong to secure a spot in the World Cup. Those moments will forever be cherished.
