Summer 2026 has officially come to a close ♥️

As I reflect on all the memories created, I realize that what made this summer so special wasn’t where I went or what I did—it was the people I shared those moments with. My family. My people.

I’m at an age where I’m realizing more and more that I’m not 20 anymore. Life isn’t about the things money can buy. It’s about the people you have beside you—the ones who love you, support you, stand in your corner and remind you of your strength when you need it most.

A few years ago, someone asked me, “What makes you work so hard?”

My answer was simple: my children and my family.

They are my why. They give me the strength to fight, to keep going and to never give up—even when life gets hard.

Things are just things. They can be bought, lost and replaced.

People can’t.

There will only ever be one of each of us. There will never be another you. The people we love are unique, irreplaceable and absolutely priceless.

So treasure them. Honour them. Make time for them. Take the trip. Have the dinner. Laugh until your stomach hurts. Take the pictures. Stay a little longer. Say “I love you.” And build as many memories together as you possibly can.

Because our time here is finite, and one day, the memories we created will become some of the most valuable things we leave behind.

You get one life. One chance. No do-overs.

Spend it with the people who matter. Love them unconditionally. Surround yourself with the people who keep your fire burning—and then walk boldly toward the life you were meant to live. ♥️

Today, when I was in Oakville for work, I couldn’t help but be drawn in to the beauty of the scenery. The sun was glistening off the lake and I had to take a moment to take it in. It almost made me forget where I was. It was calmness that I needed after a hectic week. The sound of the lake and water gently splashing up against the rocks helped me stand still and focus on the moment, something I don’t get to do very often.
It reminded me that sometimes, we have to stop. We have to stop worrying, stop focusing on the next thing we have to do, we have to stop and breathe so we can appreciate the moment.
No matter what we’re going through, no matter what’s on your to do list, we have to express gratitude for the moments we are given, even if they are brief.
It’s so easy to get caught up in your day to day, to keep going, and to forget to breathe. These moments are important.

Kindness goes a long way. Being a bully doesn’t serve anyone, not even yourself. Eventually, it all catches up to you. The lessons might not be immediate, but they will come.
