Canaqua Sports is pleased to announce that for the 2026 season, all of our Mudskipper Championship Events are being sanctioned by their local Triathlon Associations. This is part of our transition, which in 2027 will see all of our events sanctioned by Triathlon.

What a great day at the Welland Community Boathouse. We beat the rain and had some great swimming and swimrunning.

What an amazing day at the Welland Open Water Swim and SwimRun Challenge.
After some torrential downpours early in the morning the sky's cleared and we had some amazing swimming and swimrunning throughout the morning.

Thanks to everyone who participated as well as the city of Welland staff and our great lifeguarding team.

Good luck to all participants in this weekend's Welland Open Water Swim and SwimRun Challenge. We are excited to say that this is the largest group we have ever had at this event.

For those who are interested and who love the Welland Community Boathouse. This year's Canaqua Sports Mid-Summer Classic will be held at the same location with longer events (2K 4K, and 20K Swim, and an 11 K run. We are also offering Swimrun Relay events and a trail run... Something for everyone.

Advanced registrations are now closed for the Welland Open Water Swim and SwimRun Challenge. Thank you to everyone who has registered; thanks to you, we have broken our attendance record for this event.

For those who are interested in racing, we will have on-site registration starting at 7:00 AM on Sunday morning.
The water temp is @ 18 degrees, and the weather is showing sunny and 24... Perfect conditions for a great event
