Our inaugural William Young Growth Fund scholarship recipient, Javayah Hope.

From Whitby, Javayah is heading north to join the Nipissing Lakers women’s basketball team this fall where she will start her Bachelor of Physical and Health Education with a concurrent Bachelor in Education in hopes of becoming a teacher.

Through her late fathers foundation, became a HQSL founding sponsor. The William Young scholarship will ensure his legacy remains interlocked with HOOPQUEENS and that we continue to lift women athletes up, something he was dedicated to doing as well. 🧡🫶🏾
