The brand new 1-ON-1 SPIRITUAL FITNESS TRAINING PROGRAM in September is perfect for women who prefer a private training space and those ready to invest in their spiritual and physical health. Currently, there are 3 different styles of Zoom group fitness classes offered;
1. ‘CARDIO PRAISE PARTY’ - 45 min cardio-packed class that includes inspirational scriptures, motivating gospel music, fun praise aerobic routines, strength & toning, freestyle cool down, and closing prayers. OFFERED SUNDAY 2:30 PM & TUESDAY 6 PM EST
2. ‘STRETCH & GROW’ - relaxing 45 min class that includes themed scripture study, soaking Christian music, flexibility & core strength training, stress management, and prayer. OFFERED SUNDAY 3:30 PM EST
3. ‘STRENGTH & POWER’ - 45 min sculpting & toning class that provides an optimal mix of low impact cardio, light hand weight exercises, and floor and core training that strengthen both body and Spirit. OFFERED WEDNESDAY 7 PM EST

*All classes are done on Zoom (online) and are listed in Eastern Time (Toronto/New York)

It’s that time of week again. Wow! Time is flying ⏰✈️ This week’s exercise focuses on leg strength as we practice mini band sumo squats. Place the mini band just above the knees. Open your toes out wide and make sure your knees track over your toes to protect your knees. Try 2-3 sets of 10 repetitions. Let me know how it goes in the comments below. ⬇️

Overwhelm. Overreactions. Mood swings. Irritability. Poor sleep. Abdominal weight gain. General fatigue. Low s*x drive. If these symptoms sound familiar, you may just be entering the perimenopause years. For those in the menopause years, you have a specific market - the cessation of your me**es. But for women in the perimenopause stage, it can be less certain and clear.

I want to invite you to participate in the “THRIVING - Not Just Surviving” perimenopause/menopause online workshop. Let’s learn how to thrive and not just survive these stages and phases of life.

In this weekend workshop we will learn about the;

- 4 stages of women’s health and how to diagnose what stage you are in (based on hormone level changes and symptoms associated with hormone fluctuations)
- study the “Meno-Types”
- discuss different tips and strategies are available to manage symptoms for all menopausal stages
- learn what exercises, diet, and supplemental options will help prevent weight gain and mitigate adverse symptoms.

This is an unusual Therapy Thursday post but I felt called to discuss the serious need for REST!!! RESTING IS THERAPY!!

Rest is not laziness — it is a gift from God that renews both the body and the soul. Taking intentional rest days allows the body to recover strength, reduce stress, and restore energy, while spiritually it helps quiet the mind, deepen trust in God, and remind us that we do not have to carry every burden alone. When we slow down and rest in the Lord, we create space for peace, healing, clarity, and renewed faith.

True rest refreshes us physically, emotionally, and spiritually so we can return stronger, healthier, and more centered in God’s presence. There is a reason that the Lord rested on the 7th day and demonstrated the need for a Sabbath.

As a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, and an A type “go go go” person, I am really good at the “doing” but not the best at the “resting”. But I am learning just how very important it is to find balance and carve out time to just be and rest. There is a time to work. And there is a time to rest. I hope that you will take some time in the next day or so to carve out some rest and relaxation outside in nature. It will do your body and soul and spirit a world of good!
