YMHC would like to encourage more women to get involved in Coaching. “Coaching is for everyone and we need more female roles models coaching in minor hockey,” said Mercedes Watson, Director of Coach and Partner Development at the Coaching Association of Ontario. “Attending a clinic is a great first step to develop the competence and confidence to lead a great hockey program.”

With women representing only a single-digit worth of coaches in the Greater Toronto Hockey League as of the 2019-20 season, it’s evident that the hockey community has an untapped resource.
