๐Ÿงก Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we reflect on the lasting impact of the residential school system on Indigenous communities. We honour the survivors, the children who never came home, and their families, while recognizing the importance of reconciliation through education and meaningful action.

September 30 is also recognized as , an Indigenous-led day of remembrance inspired by the story of Residential School Survivor Phyllis Webstad, who, at age 6, had her new orange shirt taken from her on her first day at residential school.

Today is the last day to nominate an outstanding OWFL student-athlete who demonstrates excellence in lacrosse, academics and citizenship for the first-ever Barb Boyes Bursary Award.

Eligible nominees must be graduating from high school and entering postsecondary education, OR currently in their first year of postsecondary studies, with a strong academic record and a demonstrated commitment to giving back through community involvement and volunteerism.

The recipient will receive a $1,000 bursary.

Nominations are open for six awards, including three student-athlete awards that each include a $1,000 bursary:

Clinics are happening this Saturday, September 12 at The Hill, giving coaches an opportunity to complete certification requirements for the 2026 Sixes season or get an early start on certification for 2027 Box and Field Lacrosse.

Community Development and Competitive Introduction clinics are available in Box Lacrosse, Field Lacrosse, or a combined format, with a Sixes component incorporated into both Field clinics.

Ontario Lacrosse is pleased to announce the coaching staff that will lead the player development clinics taking place as part of the EPIC Box Ontario Junior Lacrosse Prospects Showcase.

The player development clinics will give athletes the opportunity to learn from coaches with extensive experience across the National Lacrosse League (NLL), Ontario Junior Lacrosse League (OJLL), National Team programs, and NCAA lacrosse.
