You don’t have to be perfect to be great.

I remember showing up at auditions and being SO nervous, and feeling mad at myself, thinking “I’m nervous. That means I can’t do well”.

But I learned that the two things can co-exist. I could be nervous and still have a great audition. And I don’t mean like a little nervous (my clothes would shake on my body style nerves!).

You can be tired and still do great work. You can make mistakes and still have a brilliant show.

Please remember that it isn’t one or the other ⭐️

BUT

Please don’t get so obsessed with perfection that you miss out on everything wonderful happening around you. Your friends, your team, the wins along the way, your support system, the laughs, the hotel nights… these are going to be CORE MEMORIES that you will have forever!

Trophies are nice… but people are better 🩷

Be present. Ride the highs and lows. Be gentle with yourself. Be a great teammate. Be kind.
