Food doesn’t need to be a complicated, fancy, 50-ingredient dish every meal 🍽️ Truthfully, most people don’t have time for that.

Food is your fuel ⛽ It’s like gas, oil, engine coolant, etc. in a car, essential, necessary things to keep it running. We function the same way. We need an appropriate caloric intake based on our goals, lifestyle, and current body composition. But we also need to break that down into protein, fats, and carbohydrates. Protein is the priority 💪 after that, distribute your calories between fats and carbs.

Now this next part is where people often slip up. They see all these “healthy” meals online and feel like they need to keep things interesting, but in reality keeping it simple usually works best. Aim for a balanced lifestyle about 80% of the time sticking to nutrient-dense, whole foods 🥦🥩 think butcher, produce, outside aisles of the grocery store, and the other 20% allowing for flexibility 🍫

If you have the time and energy to cook more extensive meals that suit your needs, by all means go for it! But what I tend to see is people getting overwhelmed and then not doing anything consistently enough to stick to and achieve their goals 📈

Don’t lose the big picture chasing the small details 🌿

Progress isn’t made in one perfect meal or one workout, it’s built through consistency over time. Stay focused on the forest, not just the trees. 💭

& to !

When I say this girl is determined, I mean it. Her work schedule is wild, and on top of personal commitments, she still shows up for her training and stays dedicated to her goals. The saying “if they truly want it, they’ll make it happen” perfectly captures Rebekah.

Life is busy, but her goals are a priority — so she makes her training and nutrition non-negotiables. I’m not saying it’s easy, but she’s absolutely crushing it. Proud coach moment!!! 💪

2016 was a pivotal year for me. It was the year I truly invested in myself and went after a goal I had always had—competing. I hired a coach and committed fully to the process. From there, I was hooked. I was dedicated and meticulous with the program and the plan that was set in place. The years I spent in that mindset truly set me up for the success I have today. I now live a lifestyle that supports long-term health while still allowing me to progress.

From the moment I started, I knew this was something I would stick with. Fast forward to 2026—yes, I’ve made great progress (because consistency is key, as I always say), but more importantly, I’m doing what I love and working with clients to help them achieve their own goals.

One thing I really want to highlight is that progress does not happen overnight. 2016 ➡️ 2026—that’s 10 years between those first two photos. It takes time to (a) make progress, and more importantly (b) build habits that become so ingrained in your life that they feel easy.

So, thank you, 2016. Thank you to all the change that has happened along the way. And thank you to myself for investing in myself and finding something I truly love. Let’s do another 10 years… 2036??? ✨

As we step into the new year, clients are feeling reinvigorated and motivated to work toward their goals—and I love to see it.

A common theme in conversations I’ve had with clients this past week has been figuring out simple, realistic ways to integrate training and nutrition into their everyday lives.

Coaching isn’t just about workouts and macros. If it were that simple, coaches wouldn’t be necessary. It’s about the full picture. A good coach works with your lifestyle, helps you navigate challenges, offers solutions that actually make sense for you, and knows when to push you.

I put a lot of effort into truly listening to each of my clients—understanding the obstacles they’re facing and finding practical ways to overcome them so this becomes a sustainable lifestyle, not a short-term fix.

I’m not saying it’s easy. It takes time, consistency, and effort. But it is absolutely doable if you stay the course. I’m so excited to see what my clients accomplish in 2026—and with one spot currently open… will you be one of them? 😉

One of the biggest reasons people struggle to stay consistent with their goals? Their program just doesn’t fit their life.

No two people are the same — different jobs, different schedules, different stuff going on at home. For a plan to actually work, it needs to work for you. That doesn’t mean change won’t be required, but your approach should be realistic and personalized.

If training solo feels intimidating at first, having a coach for 1-on-1 support can make all the difference. I design programs specifically for my clients — no cookie-cutter plans here — and I offer 1-on-1 training to support you every step of the way 💪

Let’s head into 2026 feeling confident, consistent, and ready to crush our goals ✨

Just popping on here to say I have a few morning slots open for 1-on-1 training, and one spot left for monthly coaching!

Message me for details — just because summer’s over doesn’t mean your progress should be too.
Let’s keep building habits that actually fit your life 💪

✨ New season, new routines! With back-to-school energy in the air, it felt like the perfect time to launch Coach Ally’s new logo + revamped website 👉 www.coachallysw.com

When I worked on this design, I wanted it to reflect one of my core coaching values: consistency. In fitness, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach—everyone’s lifestyle is different and every person is different. But the one thing that always leads to success? Staying consistent 🙌.

The fitness industry loves to hype “shocking the system,” but I believe in keeping it simple, sustainable, and tailored to YOU. That’s the energy I brought into this logo and what I build with my clients every day.

P.S. I’m currently taking on new online + in-person coaching clients 💪 DM me if you’re ready to create habits that actually stick!

What’s one thing to keep in mind before giving someone fitness advice when you don’t know their goals, lifestyle, or situation?

Simple: Don’t.

Fitness isn’t one-size-fits-all. What works for one person might be completely wrong for someone else. We’re all trying to become the best version of ourselves, so criticizing someone’s plan—or offering unsolicited “advice” without context—doesn’t help anyone.

Unsolicited advice, especially from someone who doesn’t fully understand the basics, can actually be harmful. Think about it: if you knew nothing about fixing cars, you wouldn’t walk up to a mechanic and start giving them tips. So why do people feel comfortable doing that with health and nutrition?

Something to consider.
